Atalanta won’t have Sead Kolasinac for a chunk of next season after he recently tore his ACL and have identified a possible replacement in Oliver Boscagli, who will leave PSV on a free transfer, although they’ll have to tussle with a few teams, including Inter, Tuttomercatoweb reports.

The defender is on his way out after six years in the Eredivisie. He had transferred there from Nice in 2019. He recently recorded in 200th appearance and has notched 11 goals and 12 assists.

The main obstacle for Atalanta will be the personal demands by Boscagli, which are substantial, while Inter would have an easier time meeting them. A few other European clubs are keen on him and have gotten in touch with his representatives.

La Dea usually brings in youngsters but is no stranger to adding cheap veterans. He’s similar to Kolasinac trait-wise, as he’s left-footed and can star as a left-back in a pinch. His international experience would be welcome, and he’s not too old.

Our Take on Atalanta, Inter, and Boscagli

Giuseppe Marotta just stated they wouldn’t sign expensive free agents, but he probably doesn’t fall in that category. Another center-back would streamline their rotation, and they wouldn’t need to groom him. Both teams could use another lefty to round out their defensive corps, and he’s been respectable both in the Netherlands and in Europe for a few campaigns. It’ll depend on whether he can get a larger role in equally important sides. He’d be a rotational piece for the Bergamaschi and a clear deputy for La Beneamata.
