Atalanta have officially purchased Nikola Krstovic from Lecce, with a deal believed to be worth €25m plus 10 per cent of the resale fee.
The agreement was reached last night and he had his medical tests this morning before putting pen to paper on the contract.
A statement from Lecce confirms that the sale includes a percentage of the future fee, which is reported to be 10 per cent.
He is the sixth new signing of the summer for Atalanta, following Nikola Zalewski, Odilon Kossounou, Kam aldeen Sulemana, Honest Ahanor, Nicola Zalewski and Marco Sportiello.
Krstovic has chosen to wear the Number 90 jersey at the Gewiss Stadium this season.
The Montenegro international scored 11 goals with five assists in Serie A for Lecce last season, helping to keep them in the top flight.
Now 25 years of age, he had also been linked with Roma, Napoli and Wolfsburg before Atalanta decided to swoop for the striker.
It is another big profit for Lecce, who had purchased him from Dunajska Streda for €4.4m in August 2023.
