Assane Diao is beginning to attract interest from several clubs in Italy and abroad, as the latest updates claim that Maurizio Sarri and Atalanta are considering a potential move for the Senegal international.
Diao made an explosive start to life in Serie A when he joined Como in a €12m deal from Real Betis in the January window midway through the 2024-25 season, providing eight goals from 15 appearances before the end of the campaign.
However, a series of injuries limited the youngster to just 17 league outings in 2025-26, and he also faces stiff competition in the Como attack from the likes of Jesus Rodriguez, Nico Paz, Martin Baturina, Nicolas Kuhn and Jayden Addai.
Several clubs have expressed an interest in the 20-year-old winger this summer, including Galatasaray and Roma, but the latest updates from Gianluca Di Marzio claim that Atalanta are also among the list of interested parties.
According to Thursday’s update, Como do not consider Diao to be ‘up for sale’ but they will reportedly be willing to sit down and negotiate if an enticing offer were to come in.
