Atalanta will begin their Conference League campaign against either Hapoel Tel-Aviv or GKS Katowice after the UEFA play-off draw was completed.
La Dea finished seventh in Serie A last season and therefore drop down from the Champions League to the Conference League, but remain in UEFA competition this term.
The draw was held this afternoon for the Conference League play-offs, and Atalanta learned their first opponent.
It will be either Israeli side Hapoel Tel-Aviv or GKS Katowice of Poland.
The first leg of the preliminary tie is on Thursday August 6 and Atalanta will find out who they’ll be up against after the second leg on Wednesday August 12.
The play-offs are scheduled to begin on August 20 with the second leg in Bergamo on August 27.
This is a first for La Dea, who won the Europa League in 2024 and reached the Champions League quarter-finals in 2020, but never previously participated in the Conference League.
