Marcus Rashford has ended his loan spell at Barcelona with him having great success in his time at the club.
His future hangs in the balance, however, as both Manchester United and Barcelona try to negotiate a successful deal that can see Rashford move permanently to Spain.
The Spanish giant’s signing of Anthony Gordon on Friday has, arguably, made a possible deal more complicated whilst throwing further speculation over a move.
Even with Hansi Flick previously giving the green light for a move, as he looks to build on his success from last season, it has been suggested by Spanish sources that Rashford is no longer in Barcelona’s plans.
Further updates have now emerged with MailSport reporting on a bid that the Spanish club are preparing to make.
The outlet claim that Barcelona are planning a bid of around £13m for Marcus Rashford. This is a bid that falls well short of his buy option of £22.5m, however.
MailSport also state that, should Manchester United hold out for the entire fee, Rashford will not be a Barcelona player next season.
Whilst Marcus Rashford focuses on the upcoming World Cup with England, his future will be determined by those at the top of both Manchester United and Barcelona.
It remains to be seen if Barcelona will improve their bid or whether their planned bid is their final offer.
Other clubs have been circling with Jose Mourinho linked with a move for the English international earlier this month.
Arsenal and Bayern Munich are also said to be monitoring the situation as both clubs aim to build on campaigns that saw them win the title in their respective leagues.
Rashford is set to play his next match for England on Saturday 6th June and, by then, this saga could take another twist.
