Last weekend, Rayo Vallecano drew 1-1 with Levante in La Liga. During the week, Rayo Vallecano lost 1-0 to Samsunspor in the second leg of the UEFA Conference League Round of 16, but Rayo Vallecano advanced to the quarterfinals after winning 3-2 on aggregate.

FC Barcelona defeated Sevilla 5-2 at home in La Liga last weekend to remain top of the league table. During the week, Barcelona defeated Newcastle United 7-2 in the Champions League Round of 16 second leg and won 8-3 on aggregate to reach the quarterfinals.
