BKFC Confirms Interest In Page After UFC Exit

Bare Knuckle FC is monitoring Michael Page's contract situation after the welterweight's deal with the UFC expired following his win at UFC Paris last weekend.

Page was removed from the UFC's official rankings after his fourth consecutive victory, a decision over Nursulton Ruziboev on Saturday. The former Bellator title challenger walked out of the octagon a free agent, and it remains unclear whether the promotion will offer him a new contract.

Feldman Says BKFC Would Welcome Page Return

BKFC president David Feldman told Bloody Elbow that while he is not certain Page's contract has been terminated, his promotion would be interested in bringing the striker back. Page fought once for BKFC in 2023, dropping a close decision to Mike Perry that many observers scored in his favor.

"We would definitely welcome 'MVP'," Feldman said, per Bloody Elbow. "When he fought for us with Mike Perry, it was a pretty exciting match, and a lot of people actually thought he won that fight."

Feldman suggested the bare-knuckle format could force a more aggressive style from Page, whose recent UFC performances have drawn criticism for their cautious pace despite his winning record. "You can't really be boring in BKFC, so it's hard for him to fight that type of fight in BKFC," Feldman continued. "We would be interested? Yes."

Page signed with the UFC in 2023 after a lengthy run with Bellator that included a title challenge. His next move will depend on whether the promotion opts to re-sign him or allow him to explore other options.
