Victor Boniface’s agent is expected in Italy in the coming hours to finalise the Nigerian striker’s move to Milan.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Boniface’s agent is travelling to Italy to meet Milan directors and finalise his client’s move to San Siro.
There was a breakthrough on Wednesday when Milan dropped Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund and made an offer to sign Boniface on an initial loan deal with an option to buy.
Sky Sport claims that Milan, Bayer Leverkusen and Boniface’s representative will work on the paperwork today, hoping to finalise a deal in time for the first Serie A game of the season this coming Saturday against Cremonese.
The two clubs have already reached an agreement over the transfer formula and fee, and Boniface has given the green light to move to San Siro.
Italian media have raised concerns over his signature given that the 24-year-old has been struggling with injuries in recent months and underwent two knee surgeries before 2020.
