
Borussia Dortmund start their Bundesliga 2026-27 season at home against Hamburger SV on Saturday, August 29 at Signal Iduna Park.
The game will provide a first test for Niko Kovac’s team following their 2-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup last weekend. HSV, on the other hand, have started their competitive season with a 3-0 win over Verl in the DFB-Pokal.
The match will be broadcast live on TV and streamed on the internet at 6:30 p.m. CEST at Signal Iduna Park.
Dortmund are likely to play in a 3-4-2-1 system. Gregor Kobel is the first-choice goalkeeper, with Niklas Süle, Nico Schlotterbeck and Waldemar Anton the back three.
Julian Ryerson and Daniel Svensson are likely to be wing-backs, with Felix Nmecha and Marcel Sabitzer potentially in the midfield. Julian Brandt is expected to be in the back line behind striker Serhou Guirassy.
