Calum McFarlane has been speaking about the sudden positive vibe at Chelsea after the Blues finally got a win in the FA Cup.

Calum McFarlane took his press conference today as he previewed Monday afternoon’s Chelsea – Nottingham Forest game at Stamford Bridge.

The vibe at the cub was as bad as its ever been over the last couple of months, and the 1-0 win over Leeds last weekend was a huge boost. According to the interim coach, there’s been a tangible change around the club.

McFarlane on Chelsea’s improving atmosphere after win

“It’s always difficult when you’re not performing and not getting the results. It’s amazing how a win can change the feel and atmosphere of the group,” McFarlane admitted in his presser.

Forest played their Europa League semi final first leg last night and got a win in a tight game. Even though their Premier League status isn’t yet 100% secure, their minds will surely be on the return leg of that game, and it might even affect their team selection too.

Forgive us for starting to feel that, at home, we might have a chance to get a first Premier League win since March.

We were all very curious about whether Reece James could feature on Monday, and McFarlane gave an update on him as well as Levi Colwill, who is also returning from injury.

Joe Cole has warned Alejandro Garnacho that he could be in trouble if he doesn’t up his game soon.
