Fabio Capello feels Roma might be the underdogs in the race for the Scudetto, but believes the Giallorossi have ‘a few issues’ in attack as Artem Dovbyk and Evan Ferguson ‘aren’t top players.’

Capello analysed the strengths and weaknesses of Serie A clubs expected to challenge Napoli for the Scudetto this season and identified Roma as a potential underdog.

Capello feels Roma have ‘issues’ in attack

“I’d say Roma. They score and don’t concede,” the former Giallorossi boss told Gazzetta.

“Even if they have a few issues in attack. Dovbyk and Ferguson aren’t top players. The key thing is having rediscovered a player like Pellegrini. Who knows how many times Gasperini spoke to him before starting him? In the end, he won the derby.”

During the same interview, Capello also spoke about Milan, Inter and Juventus, highlighting what they’ll need to become credible Scudetto contenders in 2025-26.

Capello was the last coach to win the Scudetto at Roma in 2000-01.
