The EFL Cup has eight teams left in the competition, and Cardiff will host Chelsea tomorrow at Cardiff City Stadium. The two are in the EFL Cup quarterfinals, and the winner of the match will advance to the semifinal of the competition.

Cardiff is first in League One after 19 league matches played so far this season. Cardiff is on 41 points in League One, with a record of 13 wins, two draws, and four losses.

The League One side won their last five league matches. Cardiff City reached this stage of the EFL Cup by beating Wrexham 2-1 in the 4th Round of the competition in late October.

Chelsea went back to winning ways over the weekend in the Premier League after beating Everton 2-0 with goals from Cole Palmer and Malo Gusto.

Chelsea reached the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup after beating Wolves 4-3 away from home in Round 4 of the competition in late October. Andrey Santos, Tyrique George, who scored two goals, and Estevao were the goal scorers for Chelsea.
