Chelsea and Arsenal scouts were present to watch incredible wondergoal this weekend

Mika Godts was one of the names of the weekend after his solo goal, and it seems Chelsea were paying attention.

If you are a football fans and even vaguely aware of what was going on at the weekend, you will have seen he incredible Mika Godts solo goal scored for Ajax.

You weren’t alone – some other people who saw it were scouts in the stadium, including those representing Chelsea and Arsenal, according to an exclusive in CaughtOffside.

That superb effort was the 20 year old Belgian’s 16th of the season, a really impressive return and a number that’s sure to attract Premier League attention.

Arsenal also reportedly had scouts there, and will also try to figure out whether they can prise the youngster away in the summer. After another year of seeing our attackers struggling, he’s surely higher priority for Chelsea.

Given his flair and his nationality, there have been a lot of Eden Hazard comparisons around Godts. Goals like this one will only enhance that. It will be very interesting to see if Chelsea make a decisive move for him this summer.

Chelsea could make a move to sign Eddie Howe, a manager with lots of pedigree but not much glamour to his name.

Enzo Fernandez was the TNT Sport man of the match, but Joe Cole had a different suggestion of a player who played a crucial tactical role.
