Chelsea legend John Terry is leading a consortium who are about to buy Colchester United Football Club!

In some welcome news away from Chelsea directly right now, the Blues legend looks like he’s about to take his first step into club ownership.

Terry was obviously the best centre back to ever play in the Premier League in my view, but since retiring, he’s never really managed to nail down any solid roles. He should be on the Chelsea coaching staff in my opinion, but the clueless owners we have in place have decided against that.

Terry works in the Chelsea academy, but if this report is true, he might soon be getting very busy running a football club!

Terry to buy Colchester?

The Sun report that Terry is poised to announce a £14million deal for the League Two outfit alongside a consortium.

An insider apparently told the outlet: “JT is really excited for it to become official.”

The footballing legend is expected to have “significant influence” over the footballing side of the Essex-based club.

Terry’s 22-year-old nephew Frankie Terry is on Colchester’s books, which could be one of the reasons he’s looked at this club.

Head coach Liam Rosenior is nowhere near good enough to manage Chelsea, that should be clear by now. But he’s been doing his best to react to the City defeat yesterday, claiming that they have big plans for the summer transfer window.

The Blues boss also holds himself accountable for the defeat yesterday, as he should do being the manager. But it’s also clearly on this ownership who have built a squad that is FAR from good enough.
