Chelsea Loan Report: How Blues Players are Performing Out on Loan

Chelsea’s squad is enormous this year. With so many players attached to the club, several of them have been shipped out on loan at various points in the season – how are they all getting on?

Today, that’s what we’ll aim to find out. We’ll be looking at Chelsea loanees from across the globe – they’re playing in countries such as France, Germany and Argentina. Which of these seven has performed the best over the course of the 2025/26 season?

David Datro Fofana

One of three Chelsea players currently on loan at Strasbourg, one of the Blues’ affiliated clubs, David Datro Fofana has yet to hit the ground running at the Stade de la Meinau.

So far, Fofana has made just four appearances in Ligue 1 for Strasbourg, but has yet to score a goal or notch up an assist. He enjoyed a much more fruitful loan spell with Fatih Karagumruk, where he scored six goals in 13 Turkish Super Lig games.

Kendry Paez

Once touted as one of the world’s leading wonderkids, Kendry Paez is still very much a work in progress. The Ecuadorian international isn’t setting the world alight at River Plate – like Fofana, he is still searching for his first goal contribution.

He was on loan at Strasbourg for the first half of the season, where he scored one goal over the course of 15 Ligue 1 appearances. He’s still only 18 – this is important to keep in mind, before anyone decides to write him off.

Aaron Anselmino

Aaron Anselmino’s 2025/26 has been an unfortunate one. Having suffered several injuries throughout the campaign, he is now out for the rest of the season with a hamstring issue.

Due to this, he has only been able to make three Ligue 1 appearances during his loan spell at Strasbourg. He spent the first half of the season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, scoring one goal in six games, but this was also largely curtailed thanks to injuries.

Axel Disasi

Axel Disasi was once expected to be the crown jewel in Chelsea’s backline – sadly, his erratic decision making and bouts of poor form led him to be slowly pushed out of the squad. As things stand, he is on loan at West Ham United until the end of the season.

This has proven to be a good move for Disasi – since joining the Hammers, he has played in every minute of his eight Premier League games at the club. Their form has also noticeably improved – could he help the Irons escape relegation?

Tyrique George

Like Disasi, Tyrique George is also out on loan at a Premier League club, having joined Everton at the end of the January transfer window. Unlike Disasi, however, he has not had such a positive impact.

Largely relegated to appearances from the bench for the Toffees, George has featured in 10 of their Premier League games, but has no goal contribitions to speak of.

Mike Penders

Perhaps the most successful of Chelsea’s loanees this season, 20-year-old Mike Penders has proven to be a very capable hand in the net for Strasbourg during the current campaign.

He has played in almost all of their Ligue 1 games in 2025/26, keeping eight clean sheets along the way. Thanks to his efforts, Strasbroug have one of the meanest defences in the division – only three Ligue 1 sides have conceded fewer goals than they have.

Nicolas Jackson

Nicolas Jackson was expected to have a major impact upon his loan move to Bayern Munich – sadly, it hasn’t quite worked out that way. He has had a decent campaign, scoring five goals in 18 games, but one would expect more from a player of his calibre.

He has been comprehensively outperformed by Harry Kane, who has scored 31 goals this season – as such, Jackson has struggled to gain a foothold in Bayern’s starting XI.
