The Chicago Fire scored three times in the opening 32 minutes en route to their 3-1 win last weekend over Orlando City and two members of the squad received accolades from Major League Soccer after standout performances.

Hugo Cuypers, who scored two goals in less than two minutes against Orlando, is in the Matchday 17 MLS Team of the Matchday starting 11 while Philip Zinckernagel, who assisted both of Cuypers’ goals and had one of his own after his shot flew through the hands of Orlando goalkeeper Pedro Gallese, is on the Team of the Matchday bench.

It’s the second time that Cuypers is in the Team of the Matchday starting 11, with his other appearance coming after generating a goal and an assist in Chicago’s win over FC Dallas on Matchday 3. Cuypers now has ten MLS goals in 2025, equalling his total from the entire 2024 MLS season.

It’s also the second Team of the Matchday appearance for Zinckernagel in 2025 after he was in the Matchday 5 starting 11 following the Fire’s win in Vancouver. Zinckernagel now has seven goals and four assists in all competitions after signing with the Fire in the offseason.
