Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Manuel Akanji will both start for Inter Milan in next weekend’s Serie A clash with Juventus.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Next Saturday, Inter will be facing a major early bellwether in their Serie A season.
The Nerazzurri travel to Turin to take on Juventus in the Derby d’Italia.
Clashes between Inter and Juventus are always among the biggest matches on the Italian football calendar.
Furthermore, the Nerazzurri will be desperate to bounce back from their loss to Udinese before the international break. Meanwhile, the Bianconeri have taken six points from six.
Inter coach Cristian Chivu will have a few decisions to make regarding the starting lineup against Juventus.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, the Romanian will go with a very well-worn midfield.
That means that Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Nicolo Barella wills start against Juventus.
Therefore, Petar Sucic will drop to the bench after the summer signing started in Inter’s first two matches of the campaign.
Notably, Mkhitaryan has stayed behind during the international break. Therefore, the 36-year-old has had the chance to work intensively with Chivu during training.
Meanwhile, reports the Corriere, Manuel Akanji is the favourite over Yann Bisseck to start in defense.
Therefore, Chivu is ready to roll the dice and put the 30-year-old straight into the starting eleven after his deadline day move from Manchester City.
