Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo will go down as one of the greatest footballers of all time.

The 41-year-old is still playing football professionally despite his age, and currently plays for Saudi side Al-Nassr under former Premier League boss Ange Postecoglou.

As well as bossing things on the pitch, Ronaldo has lived a life of luxury off it.

From running businesses to owning a football club, the Portuguese star has made a brilliant living for himself and will certainly remain occupied after retirement.

But the question that has been asked for a long time is: when will Ronaldo actually put an end to his football career?

The former Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus star tied the knot with his now-wife Georgina earlier this week, and in the meantime revealed his next steps in football.

Ronaldo revealed his imminent plans in a wedding exclusive with Vogue, confirming, “This is probably my last year of football, and I want to leave a spectacular legacy. I have my future all mapped out.

“I have so many things to keep me busy that to tell you just one thing is hard. Because football could leave a big hole, you have to fill your time in various ways, not just one.

“And also have more fun, travel more, watch and play padel, which I really like, and continue to enjoy what I’ve earned – what we’ve earned. Because after all it’s been 25 years with a lot of sacrifice.”

It’s the first real admission from Cristiano Ronaldo of a timeframe for his retirement.

Following the 2026 World Cup, the 41-year-old was heavily rumoured to put an end to his international career, but never made a public decision.

It’s now becoming clear that the end of a magnificent era for one of football’s greats is near – and the time to relish what is left has begun.
