In an interview with Al Nassr, Ronaldo spoke about why he chose to stay another two years in Saudi Arabia and what he thought about the past season.
Cristiano Ronaldo: "We know what we did last season wasn’t enough. I love Saudi people. So this is why I want to stay. And of course, to be in this club, which I love. We are not happy for what happened last season. I believe in the project, I believe in Al Nassr, I believe in the fans."
Ronaldo played three seasons with Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. In his first season, Al Nassr finished second with 67 points, where Ronaldo joined in January 2023.
In the 2023-24 season, Al Nassr finished second again, but this time with 82 points. They lost out on the league to a historic undefeated Al Hilal team. This past season, Al Ittihad won the league.
