Midfielder Petar Sucic is pushing to start in Tuesday’s Club World Cup group stage opener between Monterrey and Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Midfielder Petar Sucic officially completed his move to Inter Milan this summer.

The Nerazzurri had already wrapped up a deal for the Croatian international in February. However, he stayed at Dinamo Zagreb until the end of the season just gone.

Nevertheless, Inter have managed to bring Sucic in in time for the Club World Cup.

And therefore, the 21-year-old will have the chance to play in that tournament for the Nerazzurri.

Petar Sucic Pushing To Start Monterrey Vs Inter Club World Cup Clash

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, there is every chance that Sucic could come straight into the Inter starting eleven for Inter’s first match at the Club World Cup.

The Nerazzurri take on Mexican side Monterrey this week.

At the moment, it looks likely that Kristjan Asllani will start at the base of Inter’s midfield trio. Hakan Calhanoglu is still out with an injury.

However, reports the Gazzetta, that is not certain. One of Nicolo Barella or Henrikh Mkhitaryan could drop into the base of midfield.

Then, Petar Sucic could certainly get the start in midfield.
