Everton have transitioned from Goodison Park to their new home, the Hill Dickinson Stadium, where they have already played five matches.

The Toffees remain unbeaten at the 52,000-seater venue, picking up three wins and two draws, so it seems they have made a strong start to life in their new ground.

But David Moyes feels there is still a period of adjustment ahead.

“What we want is to create is Goodison Park again, the noise and atmosphere. And I think people are still getting used to it. It’s going to take us time,” the Scottish coach said.

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner also commented on how much of an impact the stadium had on their recent loss to Everton, suggesting it still holds some of that old Goodison edge for visitors.

Danny Murphy – former Liverpool midfielder – has since weighed in with his thoughts on how Everton’s new ground compares to Anfield.

On talkSPORT, Jim White questioned Murphy about how the Hill Dickinson Stadium compares to Liverpool’s ground.

Murphy: “I went last week and really impressive. Yeah. Yeah. Really impressive.”

Jim White: “Yeah. Looks good.”

Murphy: “Looks great.”

“On a par with Anfield?” White asked.

“Come on,” the former playmaker replied.

White then added: “Nearly. Nearly went there.”

Murphy concluded: “It’s really, really nice.”

Following a goalless draw between Everton and Aston Villa in September, Unai Emery spoke about how much he enjoyed the experience at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

“We didn’t concede one goal. We conceded some chances but it’s normal and Everton are playing better and they are playing with confidence and here, exciting at the fantastic new stadium and the supporters and I enjoy a lot of the match,” the Spaniard began by saying.

“I enjoy a lot, competing, suffering but I enjoy it and that’s the way I want. It’s a fantastic stadium and of course they needed it.

“Goodison Park is a very good stadium but old. It is a fantastic stadium and we like to play here. Villa Park old but a fantastic stadium as well and going to build there to add more supporters, another 10,000. I think, and it will be fantastic.”
