Atalanta are set to sign wingback Nicola Zalewski from Inter Milan in a deal worth €17 million.
This according to Italian outlet Gazzetta.it. They report that the clubs are on the verge of an agreement, whilst Ademola Lookman has not figured into the talks at all.
In the last day or so, Atalanta have taken an interest in Inter wingback Nicola Zalewski.
The Bergamo club are keen to make a signing for the left flank before the end of the transfer window.
And Zalewski has emerged as a potential candidate for the position after Fiorentina rebuffed La Dea’s interest in bringing Robin Gosens back to the club.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the negotiations between Inter and Atalanta for Zalewski have advanced quickly.
The clubs have been in active talks today. And they are already getting close to an agreement for the Polish international.
Inter only just signed Zalewski permanently this summer after he’d been on loan over the second half of last season. They paid Roma a fee of €6.5 million.
However, Inter are already set to turn a significant profit, reports the Gazzetta. They anticipate that the figure that the clubs have agreed a deal worth around €17 million.
The Pole will join a club where he expects to receive more playing time than he would have at Inter.
Meanwhile, Inter’s interest in Ademola Lookman has not figured into the talks for Zalewski at all.
