Gianluigi Donnarumma appears to be inching closer to becoming a Manchester City player, after reports from Italy claim that Galatasaray have submitted a €10 million opening offer to Pep Guardiola’s side for Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson.
According to what has been reported by Sport Mediaset journalist Orazio Accomando, the Turkish Super Lig side have made their opening bid for the City player as they attempt to convince him to leave England. If Ederson moves clubs this summer, it opens the door for Manchester City to swoop in for Donnarumma, even though the Sky-Blue team have already signed one goalkeeper this summer in James Trafford.
Galatasaray’s offer to City consists of a €10 million fee for the permanent transfer of the player, no loans or elaborate clauses included at this stage.
For the Brazilian himself, the Turkish club have offered €8 million per season for five years, as they seek to make the former Benfica man the true successor to ex-Lazio goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, who moved to Argentina this summer after 14 years and over 500 matches for the Istanbul club.
