Egypt vs Benin Lineups, Preview

One of the last Round of 16 matchups in the 2025 AFCON is the Egyptian National Team taking on Benin in Agadir, Morocco.

Egypt qualified for the knockout stages of the AFCON after topping Group B. Benin qualified for the next round after being the second-best third-place team, after finishing third in Group D with three points.

Egypt did not lose a game after playing three group stage matches, finishing first with seven points. Egypt won two games and drew one. They qualified for the next round after wins over Zimbabwe and South Africa.

In their previous match, Egypt drew 0-0 with Angola, playing with an alternative team, with star players like Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush resting.

Benin finished third in Group D with three points, with a record of one win and two losses.

Benin first lost 1-0 to DR Congo and then defeated Botswana 1-0. In their previous match, Benin lost 3-0 to Senegal.

Egypt vs Benin will kick off at 11 a.m. ET/ 8 a.m. PT in the United States. The match will start at 5 p.m. local time in Agadir, Morocco, at Stade d'Agadir.

The match will be available to watch on multiple TV channels and streaming services in the United States and in other countries.
