Enzo Kana-Biyik makes Manchester United debut

Enzo Kana-Biyik has reached his first major milestone in Manchester United colours during the club’s preparations for the 2026/27 season.

Michael Carrick has already handed opportunities to several new arrivals this summer.

Andrey Santos made his debut shortly after completing a £50 million move from Chelsea.

The Brazilian midfielder featured during United’s opening pre-season fixture against Wrexham before starting again in the 5-0 victory over Rosenborg.

Carrick has also used the summer schedule to assess younger players who could provide depth across a demanding campaign.

United will return to the Champions League this season alongside their Premier League and domestic cup commitments.

That schedule means the manager must understand every option available throughout the club.

Another player has now been given his first opportunity to represent Manchester United in a competitive match environment.

Kana-Biyik first appearance for the Red Devils

Enzo Kana-Biyik made his Manchester United debut for the Under-21s during their pre-season friendly against Altrincham.

According to Steven Railston of Manchester Evening News, the forward replaced Chido Obi at half-time at Moss Lane.

Kana-Biyik joined United from Le Havre in July 2025 after scoring nine goals in 18 appearances for the French club’s Under-19 side.

The Red Devils immediately sent him on loan to INEOS-owned FC Lausanne-Sport to gain experience in senior football.

However, a serious knee sprain disrupted his start to life in Switzerland and ruled him out for around eight weeks.

The teenager still made 25 appearances across all competitions, scoring once and providing one assist before returning to Manchester this summer.

United have since placed Kana-Biyik within their Under-21 setup while they decide the next stage of his development.

His appearance against Altrincham represented his first match for the club since signing more than a year ago.

Kana-Biyik will now hope to build fitness, impress the academy coaches and potentially earn further opportunities throughout pre-season.
