Everton Team News

Out: Jack Grealish (foot injury).

Available: Vitalii Mykolenko returns after missing last week’s game due to a knock.

Everton made one signing in the transfer window, with 19-year-old Tyrique George joining on loan from Chelsea. Commenting on business done during the window, manager David Moyes said: “We would have liked to have done more, but it wasn’t for a lack of trying. Tyrique George is settling in fine, he has had a few days of training and is an exciting young player.

“He can play off the left and off the right, has played as a centre-forward as well, which gives me options if I need it, but predominantly I see him on the left or right. He is quite comfortable on either side.”

Fulham Team News

Out: Saša Lukić (hamstring injury).

Available: Rodrigo Muniz returns for the first time since Fulham’s last meeting with Everton, back in November. Oscar Bobb could make his debut for Fulham after joining the team from Manchester City.

Fulham boss Marco Silva understands the tough test they face playing Everton. In the pre-match press conference, he said: “Any game is very demanding, very tough. You can take nothing as granted in this level that we are playing, always very tough opposition there, but we have to be able to respond in many different ways to the demands from the game.

“We have a plan, we know what we have to do. The other side is a very good side, too, that will try to block ourselves and not let us go in the direction that we want.”

Commenting on the Toffees’ away form, he said: “Their defensive record so far away from home has been very, very good.

“[They’ve] showed many different things – showed the resilience that they have, the capacity they have in some moments, even without the ball, to control games as well.”
