The first Merseyside Derby between Everton and Liverpool will be played today in the Premier League.

Both teams are in contention to qualify for European football next season, with Liverpool sitting 5th with 52 points and Everton 10th with 47 points.

Everton are unbeaten in their last two games, with a win and a draw. In their previous match, they drew 2-2 with Brentford away from home last weekend. Liverpool's previous Premier League match was a 2-0 home win over Fulham.

Liverpool's previous match was the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinal against PSG, where they lost 2-0 at Anfield, resulting in a 4-0 loss on aggregate.

Liverpool hosted Everton earlier this season at Anfield on September 20, 2025. Liverpool defeated Everton 2-1 with goals from Ryan Gravenberch and Hugo Ekitike.
