With Milan pushing hard for Samuele Ricci, Torino are hoping to replace him with Empoli midfielder Jacopo Fazzini, especially if Marco Baroni is the new coach.
The domino effect is in motion on the transfer market this summer, all sparked by the imminent sale of Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City for circa €75m.
This is possible also because Milan have already identified his replacement in Ricci, who had been targeted in January with no success.
In turn, Torino are prepared for the exit of the Italy international, something that has been planned since Cesare Casadei arrived from Chelsea in the January window.
Now the Granata are looking to Fazzini , who is available as a bargain following the relegation of Empoli to Serie B.
Baroni had already wanted Fazzini when he was the coach of Lazio, so if he takes over at Torino, then that makes it even more likely they will get to work together at last.
Fazzini is 22 years old and scored six goals with one assist in 22 competitive appearances for Empoli this season.
