On GIVEMESPORT’s Market Madness, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said that while Manchester United are eyeing Osimhen, there are other players on their shortlist.
He added that the cost of signing the Nigerian forward will be a key factor in deciding whether the Red Devils pursue him this summer.
“Osimhen wants the same contract that he has at Napoli in terms of salary, so he will not go below the expectations, and it’s something around €12 million net per season (£413,000-per-week),” Romano said.
“So the salary is also a big topic, and we know it’s financially not an easy moment for Manchester United. So, if Manchester United will have the budget available then for sure, Osimhen is a player on their list – but at the moment, they are still not sure of what they can do.”
Recently, journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reported that Manchester United and PSG have officially expressed interest in signing Osimhen this summer. Both clubs have made verbal offers regarding his contract and salary, with plans to meet his release clause. Amorim is also eager to bring him in.
