As we approach Fantasy Football Matchweek 14 of the Premier League, scheduled from Tuesday, December 2, to Thursday, December 4, it’s essential for FPL managers to strategise effectively to maximise their points.

Injury and Suspension Updates to Note

Cole Palmer did not feature against Arsenal, but he was on the bench, meaning a return to action against Leeds is highly possible.

Martin Odegaard, meanwhile, made his return against Chelsea, coming on as a substitute. Should he be fit enough, a start against Brentford is likely.

It was a tense game, so of course there’s more to note from it…Moises Caicedo received a red card, and will be unavailable until the Blues face Newcastle on December 20 at St James’ Park.

Must-Have FPL Picks

Nottingham Forest face bottom-of-the-table Wolves this midweek. With a -21 goal difference for Wolves, FPL managers should have their sights on some Forest players. Matz Sels (£4.7m) could enjoy a clean sheet, while midfielder Elliot Anderson (£5.4m) could have a goal contribution or two.

Manchester United also have a favourable fixture, as they close out Fantasy Football Matchweek 14 against  17th-placed West Ham. Captain Bruno Fernandes (£8.9m) is a reliable FPL choice, and perhaps Mason Mount (£5.9m) can ride off of his high having won the Red Devils their game against Crystal Palace in the previous Gameweek.

Leeds vs Chelsea is an old, bitter rivalry, with history promising a tense clash. However, based on current form, the Blues are the favourites to win this round. My bets are on Cole Palmer (£10.3m) returning from injury with a bang, young Estevao (£6.5m) making an impression, Reece James (£5.6m) leading in style, and Robert Sanchez (£4.8m) claiming his eighth clean sheet of the season (he is equal with Arsenal’s David Raya with the most clean sheets).

Speaking of Arsenal, the league leaders are likely to bounce back from a 1-1 draw with Chelsea with a strong win against Brentford. Eberechi Eze (£7.8m) is on fire at the moment, and is definitely a must-have FPL pick. Mikel Merino (£5.9m), Declan Rice (£7.0m), David Raya (£5.9m) and Jurrien Timber (£6.4m) are also promising options.

Manchester City travel to London to face Fulham this week. Pep Guardiola’s team may not be entirely predictable this season, but Erling Haaland (£14.9m) and Phil Foden (£8.1m) are more than safe FPL picks for Gameweek 14.

FPL Captaincy Picks

  • Erling Haaland (Fulham vs Man City)
  • Eberechi Eze (Arsenal vs Brentford)
  • Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth vs Everton)
