Injury and Suspension Updates to Note

Bukayo Saka’s last bit of action came in Arsenal’s 3-2 loss to Manchester United on January 25, and if you haven’t sold him by now, do yourself a favour and replace the England international, as he is out with a hip injury. Sell his teammate, Martin Odegaard, too, while you’re at it.

Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai received a straight red card in the Reds’ 2-1 loss to Manchester City in the previous gameweek. He will only miss the Sunderland game, as the reason for his red card was that he denied an obvious goal-scoring opportunity (DOGSO).

    Must-Have FPL Picks

Gameweek 26 is a double gameweek, with the two teams at the exact opposite ends of the table – Arsenal (first) and Wolves (20th) – playing twice. It would perhaps be better for FPL managers to bank on Arsenal players here, with Gabriel (£7.1m), William Saliba (£6.1m), Martin Zubimendi (£5.3m), Viktor Gyokeres (£8.8m) and Kai Havertz (£7.3m) serving as good picks.

Manchester United continue to flourish under interim manager Michael Carrick, and for Gameweek 26, it’s West Ham that provide their next test. Bruno Fernandes (£9.8m), Bryan Mbeumo (£8.6m), and Matheus Cunha (£8.1m) are the three Red Devils every FPL manager must own at least one of.

In the Premier League, Chelsea are in good form, despite a scare against West Ham in Gameweek 23. With the late win against the Irons, Liam Rosenior became just the fifth Chelsea manager to win his first four league games in charge, and he could extend his streak against Leeds in Gameweek 26. Cole Palmer (£10.5m) who scored a first-half hat-trick against Wolves last weekend, Joao Pedro (£7.6m) and Enzo Fernandez (£6.9m) stand as good options for anyone willing to back the Blues.

Other must-have picks for Fantasy Football Matchweek 26 are Brentford’s Igor Thiago (£7.0m), West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville (£5.6m) and Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m), Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers (£7.6m), Man City’s Erling Haaland (£14.9m) and Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes (£7.0m).

    FPL Captaincy Picks

    • Bruno Fernandes (West Ham vs Man Utd)
    • Cole Palmer (Chelsea vs Leeds)
    • Gabriel (Arsenal vs Brentford & Wolves)
    • Erling Haaland (Man City vs Fulham)
