France & Argentina Superstars Among Last To Return To Inter Milan Squad From International Break

Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram will be among the last Inter Milan first-team stars to return from the international break.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the standout duo will not be back before Thursday.

Marcus Thuram could start for France in tonight’s FIFA World Cup qualifier against Iceland in Paris.

Meanwhile, Lautaro Martinez could lead Argentina’s attack in their final qualifying clash against Ecuador.

However, that fixture takes place later tonight. Therefore, El Toro may not return to Italy before Friday.

Lautaro Martinez & Marcus Thuram Among Last Inter Milan Stars to Return from International Break

Thuram was an unused substitute in France’s 2-0 win over Ukraine at the beginning of their qualifying campaign.

However, with Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue out injured, the 28-year-old could start tonight.

Indeed, Didier Deschamps is considering fielding Thuram alongside Kylian Mbappe in a new 4-4-2 formation.

As for Lautaro, he scored off the bench in a 3-0 demolition of Venezuela last time out.

Therefore, Lionel Scaloni could promote him to a starter against Ecuador in Argentina’s last World Cup qualifier.
