New head coach Cristian Chivu has turned Inter into a goalscoring machine.

Inter scored at least five more goals than any other team in Italy’s top flight in the opening six rounds.

Moreover, Chivu’s charges trounced Ajax and Slavia Prague via an aggregate score of 5-0 in their opening two Champions League outings.

Therefore, they entered the international break with 22 goals to their name.

That’s Inter’s joint-best scoring record after the first eight matches of a new season since 1997/98 under Luigi Simoni.

Indeed, Lautaro Martinez and his teammates have been unforgiving in front of goal, perhaps setting the tone for a record-breaking campaign.
