Premier League clubs have spent €180m to sign players from Serie A so far in the 2025 summer transfer window, according to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The sum reported by the pink paper does not include add-ons, but only fixed transfer fees.

Reijnders’ €55m move to Manchester City from Milan has been the most expensive purchase from a Premier League club in Italy so far this summer, followed by Dan Ndoye to Nottingham Forest for €40m and Enzo Le Fée’s permanent transfer to Sunderland from Roma for €23.5m.

Other players who switched from Italy to England are Jaka Bijol, from Udinese to Leeds United and Michael Kayode, who made his loan move to Brentford permanent, allowing Fiorentina to earn €17.5m.

Saudi Pro League and La Liga follow Premier League

Saudi Pro League clubs have paid €93m to sign two Serie A players: Mateo Retegui and Theo Hernandez.

La Liga have invested €43m in Serie A players so far this summer, while Liga Portugal sides have paid €37.3m to bring in players from Italy.
