Galatasaray have embarked on a mission to Italy to probe some Serie A stars and have Ademola Lookman, Youssouf Fofana, Davide Frattesi, and Teun Koopmeiners in their crosshairs, Tuttomercatoweb reports.

The Cimbom are looking to respond to Fenerbahce, which recently acquired Matteo Guendouzi from Lazio, and are rivaling them for a couple of targets. They have set up a meeting with Atalanta, but they’ll have to be very persuasive despite the arrival of Giacomo Raspadori.

Galatasaray will likely be rebuffed for Fofana, as Milan plot to keep him in January. Frattesi could be on the move and had flirted with their nemesis, showing some interest in going to Turkey. However, Inter just lost Hakan Calhanoglu to a calf injury and might stand pat.

The Turkish powerhouse might find some fertile ground with the Bianconeri, which haven’t gotten much return on their massive investment for Koopmeiners. He has been playing more under Luciano Spalletti, especially as a defender, but a large offer could convince them.

According to Fabrizio Romano (via SOSFanta), all the pursuits are in their infant stages.

Our Take on Galatasaray Pursuing Some Serie A Stars

Lookman’s future needs to be monitored despite Atalanta’s stance, as they have done well without him recently and have already replaced him. The Rossoneri have other options in the role, arguably more enticing than Fofana, but Massimiliano Allegri likes stability. The new Old Lady’s brass is less committed to Koopmeiners and, while he has been used more, he hasn’t been great. He’s unlikely to be a regular if they stick with a four-man line. However, they’d have to get €40M+ to break even, which is a stretch. They have a better shot at reviving him than at cashing in sufficiently.
