Malo Gusto infuriated some Chelsea fans with his performance on Saturday afternoon, and some are now writing him off for good.
Malo Gusto was given a tough time by Rio Ngumoha on Saturday, and has been given an even tough time by pundits since then. The London is Blue podcast were very critical of his efforts both last week and this seaosn in general.
We’d love to say we feel differently, and Gusto has had his moments. But days like Saturday are so frustrating that they undo all that good work, and then some.
“It’s tough when you get cooked by a kid. Malo Gusto really struggled to contain Ngumoha. It’s really hard to see him succeeding here,” presenter Nick Verlaney said.
“There was a moment under Enzo Maresca where I think he was struggling from a passing perspective, but he had gotten more diligent defensively. I think that’s all kind of gone out the window this season. I think he’s really not been very good.”
