Tottenham Hotspur surprised many when they opened the 2021-22 Premier League season by defeating reigning champions Manchester City 1-0 this past Sunday without the services of striker Harry Kane, who reportedly wishes to complete a move to City before the summer transfer window closes at the end of the month.
As Paul Gilmour noted for Sky Sports, Kane didn't travel with Tottenham for their UEFA Europa Conference League playoff tie at Pacos de Ferreira in Portugal on Thursday, but head coach Nuno Espirito Santo didn't rule the three-time Premier League Golden Boot winner out for Sunday's domestic showdown with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
"What I can tell you, is that he is better."

"I cannot answer that," Nuno said when asked if Kane will play at Wolverhampton. "What I can tell you is that he is better, his fitness is getting better each day. He will join the group on Friday, and on Saturday we will make a decision about who is going to be involved in the next game."
Earlier in the day, it was reported that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy rejected City's £125 million offer for Kane and that Levy was "refusing" to speak with City about the 28-year-old who is signed for three more seasons. It's believed Levy has placed a price tag of £150 million-£160 million on his star asset.
