Harry Kane could play for Tottenham vs. Manchester City?

Last week, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane denied intentionally skipping training in an attempt to force a summer transfer to reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.

Kane returned to Tottenham on Saturday and is currently quarantining at the team's training ground hotel per COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Manager Nuno Espirito Santo told Sky Sports News on Monday his forward will be available for selection when his side opens the upcoming Premier League campaign versus City on Sunday.

"All the players in the squad that work on a daily basis will be options for us, then it's up to us to decide," Nuno explained in his comments.

He continued:

"It's not about that (Kane's late return), it's about what we have to do to solve the situation — this is important. We have to solve it together, everybody involved has to solve it together — speaking, having a nice conversation and putting our opinions, but everybody together."

Kane, 28, won his third career Premier League Golden Boot as the league's top goal-scorer last season, and City manager Pep Guardiola admitted he's keen on signing the England captain but not at Tottenham's reported valuation. Tottenham placed a price tag of £150 million on their top asset, while City allegedly offered only £100 million.

It's unclear if Kane would go on strike through the beginning of the campaign to coerce Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to sell him before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
