Ticket prices are on the rise again come next season.
Arsenal have announced yesterday on their website that ticket prices for the 2024/25 season will be increased as they look to stamp out ticket touting and other problems revolving around match day tickets and memberships.
The club have come out and said that general admission season tickets and match-by-match tickets will increase as of next season by 6% in the lower tier and 4% in the upper tier. After a lot of drama with tickets this season, and with the tickets increasing last season after we had such a good run, it leaves the question as to where and when does this stop?
Arsenal made a long statement explaining all the changes on their website but here a quick run-down of what they’ve said “Our ambition is to continue competing at the highest level and investing in our teams in an environment where costs continue to rise. We are also continuing to make investments to improve the matchday experience for our supporters at Emirates Stadium”.
“As a result of the additional fixtures and the ticket price increase, season ticket holders in the Upper Tier will pay an additional £113 on average for their season ticket, with those in the Lower Tier paying an average of £103 more than this season”.
“As General Admission season ticket holders are owed the difference between a category A and category B game following all three 2023/24 UEFA Champions League Group Stage fixtures being categorised as Bs, the actual increased outlay for renewing season ticket holders will be an additional £73.68 on Upper Tier and £72.58 on Lower Tier. These increases are based on average Upper and Lower Tier season tickets”.
“Club Level season tickets will go up by 6% for those with seats in the Halfway Line or Midfield price categories and those seated in a Behind Goal or Corner seat will increase by 8%. Seasonal Dining prices will increase by 8%”.
Which has left a lot of fans, including the AST (Arsenal’s Supporters Trust) and myself baffled by this decision. The AST had asked the club to put a freeze on ticket prices but have obviously been ignored. Not only that, but the senior citizen discount that was around has now disappeared and it’s left a lot of Arsenal fans feeling wronged and less valued, especially the older group of supporters.
Playing devil’s advocate here, the price of everything is rising in the UK and inflation is at an all-time high, everything is beginning to cost more which means it’s costing more to run things on a match day. And of course there are problems with tickets touting and such, but it does feel like if they can do it for this season and next season, what’s stopping them from continuing to rise the prices the more successful we become?
It works out to around £3 more per ticket and it doesn’t seem like much when you look at it in that way, but it’s still a massive set back in my opinion. Hopefully we as fans and the AST can come to some sort of agreement where fans are put first, as we are the backbone of this club.
I’m sure there will be plenty of opinions but for me, it’s not a good look and the club should be looking after their supporters better.

Journalist: Premier League club make 'formal' approach for Chelsea duo, deal could be worth £45m
Wolves have made a formal approach to sign Chelsea duo Axel Disasi and David Datro Fofana according to journalist Sebastien Vidal. The Blues have been busy this summer, and have made four signings in Jorrel Hato, Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens. Chelsea continue to work on deals for both Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho and hope to get them done before the end of the window. Wolves in for Disasi and Datro Fofana However, the focus currently is on outgoings with Chelsea still looking to move a number of players on despite making good progress on players sales. The Blues have sold Lesley Ugochukwu, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Armando Broja this month, but they still need to find solutions for more players. Disasi and Datro Fofana fall into that category, but the duo have attracted interested from a number of clubs, although as of yet no official offers have come in. Datro Fofana has been linked with French sides Toulouse and Nice as well as Wolves, whilst Disasi has been linked with Juventus and Newcastle, although a move to the North East would appear unlikely now the Magpies have signed Malick Thiaw. However, Vidal has provided an update on the situation and there seems a possibility the duo could be playing for Wolves next season. He took to X.com and said: “Wolves have made a formal approach to sign Chelsea duo Axel Disasi David Datro Fofana. “Combined deal could reach £45m (£25–30m for Disasi, ~£15m for Fofana). “Wolves want a new CB striker after selling big this summer. Chelsea open to selling both.” Chelsea could make profit on Datro Fofana The Blues look likely to make a loss on Disasi given they signed the Frenchman in a deal worth just under £39m from Monaco in the summer of 2023. However, if they could recoup as much as £25-£30m that would be seen as a good result, but £15m for Datro Fofana would represent a profit on the £8-£10m fee they paid for the striker in January 2023. Datro Fofana has only made four appearances for the Blues, and has taken in loan spells at Hertha Berlin, Burnley and Turkish side Goztepe.
Green Bay Packers: Josh Jacobs Gets Honest About Malik Willis’ Future
In 2024, Green Bay Packers backup quarterback Malik Willis was suddenly given the keys to the offense under center after Jordan Love suffered an injury in Week 1’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil. Despite limited time with the Packers in the offseason, Willis managed to be a steady presence on the field, with Green Bay tailoring the offense for him. With Love reportedly undergoing a procedure on his left thumb, Willis filled in as the Packers’ QB1 during Thursday’s joint practice with the Indianapolis Colts. Willis appeared to make a good account of himself on the field, with Packers running back Josh Jacobs taking notice of the quarterback’s performance. “We know what Malik is and what we have in Malik,” Jacobs said, per Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers’ website. Jacobs also shared his confidence in Willis’ NFL outlook. “He made a few throws today that was kinda like, ‘Wow.’ Just him being more comfortable and him being the leader, I think he’s naturally a guy that he puts in the work, so I think he’s going to succeed.” Will Jordan Love be ready for the Green Bay Packers’ 2025 NFL season opener? The Packers are less than a month away from kicking off their 2025 campaign, with a date with the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field scheduled for September 7. Green Bay, however, doesn’t seem all that worried about Love’s availability for that contest. “We’ll get him back in plenty of time,” Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said (h/t Rob Demovsky of ESPN). “I don’t foresee this affecting him long term at all.” As for the upcoming preseason clash with the Colts and the one after that versus the Seattle Seahawks, Love can be expected to sit out both contests, with Willis possibly getting some snaps.
Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger Makes Direct Statement About Mason Rudolph's Spot On QB Depth Chart
The Pittsburgh Steelers have quite an interesting quarterback room for the 2025 season. Of course, all the focus is truly on Aaron Rodgers and what he can bring to the team at this stage in his career. Behind him, the Steelers have Mason Rudolph serving as the primary backup. Skylar Thompson and Will Howard are competing for the third spot on the depth chart, but unfortunately for Howard, an injury has slowed his progress. Thompson took advantage of the opportunity, performing well in the first preseason game and possibly reclaiming the QB3 role. Before his injury, Howard had previously moved ahead of Thompson in the competition. Former teammate of Rudolph, Ben Roethlisberger, recently shared his honest thoughts about the veteran quarterback’s performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Roethlisberger, who spent years with Rudolph during his time in Pittsburgh, had a unique perspective on how his former understudy handled the game. While Roethlisberger acknowledged there were some areas where Rudolph could improve, he also praised his composure, decision-making, and ability to move the offense when needed. Roethlisberger discussed Rudolph’s performance on his Footbahlin podcast, noting that the veteran looked confident and in control despite limited opportunities. "You know I thought Mason [Rudolph] played really well," Roethlisberger said on his podcast. "I thought he did exactly what you would hope to see from your backup quarterback. Roethlisberger had high praise for Rudolph, and hearing him mention him alongside names like Charlie Batch shows he has faith in Rudolph’s ability to be a reliable backup in Pittsburgh. There is a strong argument that Rudolph is one of the most dependable backup quarterbacks in the NFL, which is a significant asset for the Steelers in the 2025 season. Steelers' Mason Rudolph Has Great Preseason Game Versus Jaguars Rudolph only attempted 10 passes on Saturday night against the Jaguars, but completed 90 percent of them. He threw for 84 yards and one touchdown. While preseason football can be difficult to evaluate, he performed well in roughly a quarter and some change of action. His efficiency and composure reinforced the notion that the Steelers have one of the league’s most steady and trustworthy backup quarterbacks heading into the regular season. Roethlisberger is confident Rudolph has now locked up his spot as QB2 for the 2025 season. Steelers fans are now super eager to get updates on when Howard will be back from his injury. Oregon suspends former five-star WR recruit indefinitely
Oregon wide receiver Jurrion Dickey has struggled to live up to expectations in his first two seasons with the Ducks, and he is now in a terrible position heading into 2025 as well. Dickey has been suspended indefinitely by Oregon, head coach Dan Lanning announced on Tuesday. Lanning also suggested that Dickey may not play for the Ducks again. "We have two team rules; that’s respectful, be on time,” Lanning said, via James Crepea of The Oregonian. “There’s some pieces of that where I felt like he needed a break from us and we needed a break from that so we could focus on what’s in front of us right now. "Wishing him nothing but the best, as far as success and want to see him get back to where he can be a contributor somewhere; that might be here that might be somewhere else.” Dickey was a five-star recruit and rated as one of the top wide receivers in the country when he came out of Menlo-Atherton High School in Atherton, California in 2023. He suffered an injury his senior year in high school and redshirted as a freshman at Oregon. Dickey has two catches for 14 years during his time with the Ducks. Oregon went 13-1 in Lanning's third season with the program last season. The Ducks lost to eventual national champion Ohio State in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals.
