Tottenham forward Mathys Tel is hoping to make an impact from the get-go at N17 next season

Tottenham forward Mathys Tel is hoping to get back into the best shape and delivering good performances consistently under Thomas frank next season. The Frenchman is hardworking to say the least, and he showcases his willingness to succeed whenever he is given an opportunity. The ex-Bayern Munich player’s impact in the pre-season games just shows that he has learnt a lot during his time at N17.

The fans seem to forget sometimes that Mathys Tel is only 20-years-old. He is still young and he has time to reach his potential at Tottenham. Not only that, but the talented forward also has a high ceiling, which would excite the fans as they look forward to his development.

That being said, it is also important to note that Tel faces an important first full-season with the North London club. The ex-Bayern forward cannot be complacent heading into the new campaign, and he needs to be on his ‘A-game’ from the get-go. With Heung-Min Son leaving Spurs for pastures new earlier last week, all the responsibility to handle the left-flank lies on Mathys Tel’s shoulders.

Tottenham forward Mathys Tel receives high praise from Harry Kane

There is no denying the fact that Tottenham might have hit the jackpot with Mathys Tel. The upside to the transfer is high and if it clicks well for the 20-year-old, then he will become a hero at N17 in a few years’ time. Thomas Frank has also spoken highly of Tel’s potential, indicating that he is keen to work with the talented forward at N17 in the upcoming season.

Now, Spurs legend Harry Kane has reiterated the same things after Bayern’s pre-season win against the Lilywhites. While talking to Tottenham’s media team, Kane said,

“He’s got great potential. Whether he’s playing as a left winger or a striker, he gets into dangerous areas, he can finish the ball well and he’s good one-v-one. I don’t want to put too much pressure on him.”

The Spurs legend added,

“He’s going to the Premier League, he’s still extremely young although he has a lot of experience here, he still has to develop and improve, he knows that and he works hard to do that, so I just want him to go and enjoy himself, have confidence and hopefully he can shine in the Premier League.”

Harry Kane believes Mathys Tel has great potential and he is versatile enough to operate as a left-winger or as a lone striker up top. The legendary striker also adds that he does not want to put Tel under pressure, while highlighting his one-v-one prowess and finishing skills. Kane points out that the Frenchman is hardworking and he will realise his potential at N17. The Spurs legend also wants Tel to enjoy playing in the Premier League and help the team win games.

Now, all eyes will be on Tel as he aims to live up to his expectations next season. The 20-year-old’s nonchalant behaviour and his ability to calmly slot the ball in the back of the net is what makes him a standout player in the squad. With Son leaving the club, Mathys Tel will hope to get regular gametime for the foreseeable future under Thomas Frank.
