Manchester United priority target Bryan Mbeumo might soon have a major decision to make, with his current boss, Thomas Frank, expected to join Tottenham.

After signing Matheus Cunha, the Red Devils turned their attention to the Cameroonian star who netted 20 goals in the Premier League last season.

United opened up with a £45m plus £10m bid that was turned down by Brentford who set their initial request at £70, while Fabrizio Romano expects the two parties to eventually reach a compromise at £60-65 million.

Nevertheless, an unexpected new twist has left INEOS sweating, as Brentford manager Thomas Frank has emerged as the favourite to take over Spurs following Ange Postecoglou’s dismissal.

Frank wants Bryan Mbeumo reunion at Spurs

According to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein, the two parties are currently in contact, as Tottenham are aiming to have an agreement with the Danish tactician over the next 48 hours.

This development follows press reports claiming that Frank will be determined to bring Mbeumo with him on the ride to North London.

Nevertheless, Man United insider, Sully, insists that the Reds have nothing to worry about, as the 25-year-old winger has been hellbent on making his move to Old Trafford, and the latest updates on Frank’s future won’t affect his decision.

“Calma. If Bryan Mbeumo wanted to play under Thomas Frank, he could’ve stayed at Brentford,” argued the journalist in a post on his X account.

“His priority and number 1 choice is and always has been MUFC. Up to the clubs now, don’t believe everything you read online.”

Mbeumo only has eyes for Man United

This is certainly the news that Man Utd fans were hoping to read over the past few hours, as the majority of the fanbase considers Mbeumo a major addition to the attacking department after being delighted by his exploits at Brentford throughout the season.

Therefore, it is up to INEOS to up their game and try to find a swift solution with the Bees to put all speculations to bed.
