'Hopefully…' – Cucurella on how Chelsea managed to improve their FA Cup odds with events on Saturday

Marc Cucurella ended up playing a key role in an attacking sense for Chelsea against Liverpool at the weekend, with his runs into the left channel really unsettling the Reds throughout the game.

Speaking after the draw, the Spaniard saw lots of positives from his team’s performance, especially considering the context of the run of defeats they’ve had recently.

Cucurella on team’s “really good” reaction to defeats

“I think the reaction of the team was really good after the last performance. I think we showed again that if we want to fight, if we play together, we are a really good team,” Cucurella said in quotes picked up by the club’s official website.

“Hopefully we can grow in confidence after this draw. I think maybe at some points we deserved the win, but we need to build on this.

“We have a massive game next week. We need to take the positive from Saturday and prepare good for the game and arrive in the best condition.”
