Inter Miami hosts the New York Red Bulls in a highly anticipated Eastern Conference MLS clash at the new Nu Stadium.
The Herons currently sit in 4th place and are coming off a 2-2 draw against Austin FC. While they have won three of their opening six matches, there are growing concerns regarding the squad's overall performance.
Although Lionel Messi has been in phenomenal form with five goals so far, the rest of the team has at times struggled to keep pace with his playmaking.
In contrast, the New York Red Bulls enter the match following a 4-2 victory over FC Cincinnati, fueled by goals from Julian Hall, Emil Forsberg, and Mohammed Sofo.
Under the leadership of Michael Bradley, now in his first season as head coach, the Red Bulls have adopted a high-intensity, direct style of play. They currently sit just one point behind Inter Miami in the standings.
On the other hand, Inter Miami manager Javier Mascherano has faced criticism recently, particularly following the club's exit from the Champions Cup. However, he remains focused on their consistent league form.
“We’ve played eight matches; we only lost the very first one at the start of the season,” Mascherano noted.
Recent History though gives Inter Miami an upperhand. The Red Bulls have lost their last three encounters against Inter Miami, conceding 15 goals during that period.
Inter Miami vs. New York Red Bulls kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 11, 2026.
