Italy international Ciro Immobile has officially terminated his contract with Besiktas by mutual consent and is paid €2.625m, so is now free to join Bologna.
The negotiations had been going on for several weeks, as Immobile felt his experience in the Turkish Super Lig was already over.
A formal statement from Besiktas this afternoon confirmed that the club paid him €2.65m to terminate the contract early.
His deal was only meant to run until June 2026, having arrived for €2m from Lazio a year ago.
The 35-year-old scored 19 goals in 41 competitive games for Besiktas, along with four assists.
An agreement has already been reached for Immobile to make his return to Serie A for Bologna as a free agent.
He has already played for Juventus, Siena, Grosseto, Pescara, Genoa, Torino, Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Lazio.
His place in the Besiktas squad was taken by former Roma centre-forward Tammy Abraham, who completed his transfer this week.
