Inter Miami officially sign Casemiro

Inter Miami have officially confirmed the signing of Casemiro following the midfielder’s Manchester United exit at the end of his contract.

The Brazilian had already announced earlier this season that he would leave Old Trafford this summer.

Now, his next move has officially been completed.

Inter Miami confirmed the transfer through the club’s official website after weeks of speculation linking the MLS side with the experienced midfielder.

Casemiro leaves Manchester United after playing a key role in helping the club secure Champions League qualification under Michael Carrick.

Despite uncertainty surrounding his future throughout parts of the campaign, the 34-year-old remained one of United’s most experienced figures during the run-in.

He also earned a call-up to the Brazil squad under Carlo Ancelotti ahead of the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Casemiro originally joined Manchester United from Real Madrid back in 2022 in a deal worth around £60 million.

During his time at Old Trafford, he won both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup while making more than 150 appearances across all competitions.

The midfielder now joins an Inter Miami side already filled with major names including Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

Inter Miami are co-owned by Red Devils legend David Beckham, who has played a major role in transforming the MLS side into one of the biggest clubs in world football.

Manchester United, meanwhile, are already preparing for life after Casemiro.

A shortlist of potential midfield replacements has reportedly already been created behind the scenes at Old Trafford.

The club are expected to sign at least two midfielders during the summer transfer window.

Midfield reinforcements are viewed as one of the major priorities heading into next season as INEOS continue reshaping the squad under Carrick.
