Inter Miami vs CF Montréal Lineups & Confirmed Team News

Inter Miami will aim to end their five-match winless streak as they take on Montréal today in an MLS fixture at the Nu Stadium.

The Herons sit second behind Nashville in the Eastern Conference table but trail the rivals by a massive ten points.

For Inter Miami’s main man Lionel Messi, this fixture also marks the first time he will meet former Barcelona teammate Alexis Sanchez in the MLS.

The biggest news, however, is the arrival of new head coach Cristian “Kily” Gonzalez at Inter Miami, who replaced interim head coach Guillermo Hoyos.

Inter Miami vs. Montreal Lineups

Both Mateo Silvetti and Tadeo Allende are not available for Inter Miami while Santi Morales and Micael are out due to injury.

Montreal will be without Brayan Ceballos who serves a suspension while Frankie Amaya, Wiki Carmona, Bode Hidalgo, Efrain Morales and Hennadii Synchuk are also not available for selection.

Regarding the change of the head coach, Guillermo Hoyos praised Lionel Messi and his influence on the squad.

“I think Messi has the kind of influence you’d expect from players with that kind of personality and greatness. I imagine it’s the same elsewhere, too; when you’re at Boca Juniors, for instance, you might consult someone like [Leandro] Paredes. Because Paredes is truly an emblematic figure at Boca, and his words carry real weight regarding the continuity of a coach or the arrival of a new one,” he said.

The 39-year-old Messi has been enjoying strong form after his return from the 2026 World Cup and is once again expected to form the Miami attack alongside Luis Suarez.
