Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez has returned straight to the training pitch ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez has been with the Argentina national team during the international break.

However, the 27-year-old did not take to the pitch for the Albiceleste during the break.

Martinez has had to recharge his batteries after an exhausting season.

The Argentine suffered major disappointment with Inter, missing out on the Serie A title to Napoli on the final day before losing 5-0 to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.

Meanwhile, few players have played as many minutes as Martinez for club and country this year.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Lautaro Martinez has wasted no time getting back to the training pitch.

The Argentine has gotten up to speed with his teammates. And with new coach Cristian Chivu.

Therefore, the Inter captain should be available immediately for the Club World Cup.

Inter’s opener is against Mexican side Monterrey. That will be on Tuesday evening local time, which is 3.00 CET the following morning in Europe.
