With Napoli going two from two, the Nerazzurri cannot afford another early setback.

As such, Chivu needs all hands on deck, especially now that he prepares for his first managerial appearance in the derby.

Lautaro Martinez traditionally fares well immediately after the international break.

Indeed, he scored a decisive goal in a narrow 1-0 win over Roma last October.

Moreover, El Toro found the net the last time Inter and Juventus met immediately after the pause.

He was on the scoresheet in a 1-1 draw in November 2023. Additionally, he got on the board against Torino a month earlier.

Therefore, Cristian Chivu may feel compelled to put the Argentine into his starting XI despite his late return.
