Inter Milan star Petar Sucic fared well in last night’s FIFA World Cup qualifying showdown between Croatia and Montenegro.
According to Sportske Novosti via FCInterNews, the 21-year-old was particularly impressive in the first half.
Croatia thumped Montenegro 4-0 at Zagreb’s Maksimir Stadium to leapfrog the Czech Republic at the top of Group L.
Indeed, Zlatko Dalic’s men have won all four qualifying games via an outstanding 17-1 aggregate scoreline.
Petar Sucic has been one of Croatia’s standout performers in the ongoing cycle.
Sucic played 70 minutes before making way, leaving the pitch to a warm ovation from the home crowd.
Furthermore, the young midfielder’s energetic display in midfield earned him a respectable 6.5 rating.
Despite failing to get on the board, he was among Croatia’s liveliest contributors in the middle of the park.
Indeed, he was particularly active in the first half.
He is now on his way back to San Siro to rejoin the Inter squad ahead of Saturday’s trip to Turin to meet Juventus.
