Inter Milan Set To Face Torino Without Two Suspended Stars In Cristian Chivu’s Serie A Debut

Inter Milan will take on Torino on the opening Serie A weekend without Hakan Calhanoglu and Francesco Pio Esposito.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, both players are out of contention for the opening day of the season.

Despite suffering a knock against Olympiacos, Federico Dimarco will be available for selection.

Meanwhile, there’s still a question mark hovering over the head of Davide Frattesi.

Indeed, the Italian is still recovering from abdominal surgery and may not be part of the squad next week.

Inter Milan Set to Meet Torino Without Calhanoglu & Pio Esposito

Cristian Chivu will make his managerial debut in Serie A as Inter coach on Monday.

Therefore, everyone is waiting for Torino’s visit to San Siro with bated breath.

However, the 44-year-old will not have Calhanoglu at his disposal due to suspension.

Despite strong links with a summer exit, the Turk will stay in Italy next season.

Yet, he will not be part of Inter’s team on Matchday 1.

The same goes for Esposito, who could be a valuable first-team asset this term after a scintillating campaign at Spezia in 2024/25.
